Well August has certainly been a busy but great month!!

We were very sad to wave good bye to COOLEY LEGALAND who has gone to a super new horse. But excitingly his old owners, Molly Fisher and Lucy Fleming have bought my beautiful 4yo Crunchie.
We also had the arrival of new ride FELOUPE owned by Nicky Cooper, Suzanne Doggett and Jo Spence. She has competed upto Advanced level and the plan for 2020 is to get to know each other ready for the 2021 season.

So kicking off out busy month eventing, Firstly we headed to Swalcliffe for the unaffilated BE100.
Susy Watts HOMERUS really impressed with a 22 dressage and a double clear to win.
The Future Partnerhsips HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST produced a 27 double clear for 5th, and new ride for 2020, KNOCKAROE SPIRIT owned by Jasmine Raven - who I am riding whilst she is pregnent, scored a 29 and also double clear for 7th.

Next was a Moreton

We took the two Novice horses, Headleys Cosmic Twist has really grown up this year. Stepping back up to Novice with a 32 double clear in time for 5th. So proud of her, and delighted for all her owners in the Future Partnership!

And Homerus scoring an impress 26, one fence down SJ and stormed around the XC to finish in 6th.

Aston Le walls.
Great first day at Aston...
New ride FELOUPE - owned by Nicky Cooper, Suzanne Doggett and my mother, Jo Spence popped around the Novice 31, 1 down and clear in time, and having only had her a week, I was delighted to finish 7th.

The Future Partnership’s HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST - another 32 Dressage, double clear to finish 8th. Absolutely delighted with this 7yo mare who is really coming into her own! And another new but short term ride, CARRANDUNA DIAMOND owned by Chlo
Brown (who I usually teach) has broken her wrist. 33 Dressage, 2 poles rolled as was rather keen and stormed around the XC!

Next was Bueno, competing in our first advanced together.
He was an absolute super star in our dressage with a mistake free test to score 30, he then jumped his little socks off just touching one fence, and then flew around the XC clear with a handful of time faults in a competitive field to finish 3rd in our first Advanced together. Couldn’t be more proud!
Huge thank you to his four amazing owners who have supported me for years!!
And of course to Chloe for making him look beautiful even in the mud and Sara and Charlie holding the fort at home!

Next was West Wilts

4 Horses and 4 Double clears.

The 3 novices;
The Future Partnerships HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST - 31 dressage and double clear for 5th
Susy Watts HOMERUS - 29 dressage and double clear for 5th
Chloe Browns CARRANDUNA DIAMOND - a spiritly dressage of 38 but a lovely double clear for 9th.

And in the BE100open;
Jasmine Ravens KNOCKANROE SPIRIT -  miss consistent scored 29 again and jumped double clear for 7th.
A huge thanks to all the team at home and at West Wilts for all their hard work!

Then we headed to Burgham for the first International of 2020!!

And what a great couple of days we had in the CCIS3*

Lucy Fleming, Molly Fisher, Nicky Cooper and Sam Wilson’s UPPERCOURT COOLEY, produced a beautiful test to score 27.5 and jump a classy double clear in wet and windy conditions for 3rd place. Absolutely delighted for all his connections, he really is growing into an exciting horse and now that we have been a partnership for a year, he is just feeling better and better!

Then New Ride FELOUPE owned by Nicky Cooper and Suzanne Doggett really impressed us with a 31.2 dressage in what proved to be a tough marking section and a went on to jump a  lovely double clear easily inside the time for 6th!! Lulu is a very talented mare and we are going to spend the rest of the season getting to no eachother a bit better. Huge thanks to Anya and Sara here at Burgham and Charlie and Chloe at home!

Wellington.... The next international and sadly it did not go as planned. This event definitely reminded me of the ups and downs of the sport!!

The Ups.....
Jasmine Ravens KNOCKANROE SPIRIT jumping in the BE105, another super test doing a Novice dressage test for 29, and she went on to jump double clear - I howver went a bit too quick XC but still finished in 6th.
HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST doing her first 2*S, a genuine and sweet test with a couple of errors to score a creditable 35 and she then went on to jump out of her skin, jumping double clear easily inside the time.

Another Up...
HOMERUS also in the 2*S scored an amazing 27.8 and a lovely clear SJ
FELOUPE competing in the OI scored a 29.6 and also SJ clear

Then come the downs...
HOMERUS said the water looked very scary and stopped and I came off and then FELOUPE said the table with ditch underneath it looked scary, thankfully I didnt fall off again, but decided to retire her as I didnt want to push her unitl I no her.

Back home and lots of homework to do!!

Overall a great month, and I look forward to a busy September as the season starts to draw to a close!!
