AUGUST

August seemed to be all about the baby horses, getting them out to some unaffiliated events and then making their BE debut.

Casallco Jumping Jack has taken a little while to mature but is going to be a seriously talented horse for the future.  With wins at Ellmwood and some super double clears along the way.  Making his BE debut at West Wilts he jumped 2 beautiful rounds to finish 5th in the BE90.  He went a few better at Solihull and produced some stunning work in the dressage to finish on 25 and second place!

Up and Over (Arlo) has been a super fun youngster to produce for Hayley, winning his Go BE90 at West Wilts on a 28.8 dressage and flying round the BYEH qualifier at Hartpury.

Both boys were on flying form with rarely out of the placings.

SEPTEMBER

September was a big month with the 8/9YO CCI4* at Blenheim Palace, and what a time for Kojak to decide to do a personal best.  Leading the dressage on this special horse and at such an incredible venue was a dream come true.  It is always so good to produce the results at the big events but especially for Molly Fisher, Lucy Fleming and Sam Wilson who’ve been such wonderful and long-term owners.  He absolutely nailed the jumping, and I couldn’t have been more proud with how he handled the deteriorating conditions.  It was slightly gutting to slip to second by a time fault, but my main focus was giving Kojak a really positive experience.  Always nice to share the podium with Padraig and deliver Ireland their first Blenheim 1-2!

With many events rained off it’s time for a break and some well-earned family time before the hard work of preparing for 2025 begins!
