Up North to Bramham
June seems to be another season of Internationals, with the first stop being Bramham for the notorious 4*L.Dressage was a bit of a reversal to that of Houghton, with Lulu nailing her test to take us into the top 10 and Fanta's test not quite going to plan. But, Bramham is far from a dressage competition. Onto the cross-country and Fanta tried his heart out completing with a super clear round and just a few time penalties. Lulu got a huge jump into the water and I had to do some quick thinking with a wiggly line to the final 2 elements. At first we were given a 20 penalties which really wasn't fair. After much protest, some extra video footage from the H&C Production team (big thanks to Taperz) we got it removed!
Lulu wasn't 100% on the final day so we decided not to present to the trot up and save her for another day. The super unicorn that is Fanta yet again jumped a super clear round on the final day to finish in 22nd!
On to Nunney
Competing on the hottest day of the year is always a challenge but Kojak rose to the occasion to strut his stuff in the 2* dressage, while Ozzie and Crunchie had a quiet run around the Novice - there was no chance of pushing them for the time in that heat or with the firm ground, horse welfare always coming first.Back on the final day and thankfully some cooler weather than Kojak was a complete and utter DUDE to storm round for 2nd place!! Such a superstar and so pleased for his owners, Molly, Lucy and Sam.
