April started with a bang at The Eventing Spring Carnival at Thoresby Hall.
Posy and Fanta both got off to a good start in the dressage with Fanta sitting inside the top 10. There were a few errors from Posy but overall it was a great test, with plenty still to jump. Lulu also put her best hoof forward with a super dressage of 29.5 to sit just outside of the top 10 in a very competitive 4*.Onto the jumping and Posy and Fanta flew round a decent 3* track that not only caused issues on the cross-country but in the showjumping as well. Both jumped very good showjumping clears and very confident cross-country rounds. Fanta added a few time to finish 16th out of 110 and Posy's lightening fast round saw her fly up the leaderboard to 22nd!Lulu proved what a world class horse she is with another 4* clear inside the time to finish 16th!
A Double WIN
It was a DOUBLE WIN for Crunchie and Kojak as they both took top honours in their BE100 classes. Crunchie finishing on his 23.5 dressage and Kojak producing a 22.5!
Easter At Burnham Market
3 days in Norfolk with 4 horses and 4 double clears at 3* and 4* level!
Kelsall Hill
It was great to have Harley out and feeling so well at Kelsall, causing round the 3* to 6th place, in what was meant to be his final prep run before Badminton. Then came the devastating news that he'd picked up an injury there and would have to withdraw from Badminton, along with missing much of the season ahead. After a difficult winter this was an even harder blow to swallow, especially given how good he's been feeling.
