And that’s a wrap.....
The 2018 Event Season is over for Team Spence.

I was delighted with the 3 young horses at Bovingham. The Future Partnerships ‘Ardeo Koto’ produced a beautiful test to score 26 and a lovely double clear to finish 4th and Natalie Royals ‘Billy Clanenza’ scores 28 and also double clear to finish in 9th!! My beautiful HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST did her first event. A bit green and a few slips and slides but flew round the XC with a clear in time!
A huge thank you to Connie for grooming in the pouring rain!!

What a great way to finish. It was so nice to have Molly Fisher and Lucy Flemings CAPTAIN FUTURE out eventing after over a year! He did a 29 and an easy but steady double clear. He will now do some dressage and SJ over the winter in preparation for next season.
Natalie Royals BILLY CLARENZA really has been Miss Consistent this year. Another good test and another double clear, sadly just outside he top 10 in 11th place. She is sadly now going to be for sale.
And The Future Partnerships HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST was superb. Her first BE100 and she did not disappoint. She really is one of the most exciting 5yos I’ve ever had. She is still incredibly green but she showed her ability and genuine love for her job, to jump a super SJ and XC round. I can’t wait for a winters training with her and then to come out in 2019 ready to roll!!

2018 has definitely been my best season to date and I can’t thank my whole team enough.

My owners, Molly, Lucy, Sam, Suzy, Natalie, Sue and John, Nessa and Jemima

My sponsors Baileys Horse Feeds, Mark Todd, Antares, Haygain, Pm Morgan, TreeHouse sporting colours, 4cyte, Gatehouse hats and B&W vets.

My girls, Lyds, Connie, Tu, Sophie, Laura and Anya

And my support team, Sue, Mimi, Ben and Marina and my amazing boyfriend!

My horses;
Halltown Harley, taking me America to finish 2nd in the CIC3* and help Team GB win Gold.

5th Belton CIC3*
9th Burgham CIC3*

And the younger horses have really progressed to the levels. COOLEY LEGALAND won Upton intermediate and finished 12th at Burgham CIC2* and 10th at his first CCI2* at Millstreet. VENDI FOX coming back from injury to finish 3rd in this first CCI1*
CALVIN was a star all year with 3 BE wins at ON level and 2nd Burgham CIC1*
HOMERUS had 2 BE wins!

I can’t thank everyone enough, and especially to my mum, dad and sister who are always there through all the laughter and plenty of tears!!

Here’s to a fantastic season, a great winter and roll on next year!!
